Dear Parents and Carers,
The staff team at The Castle School are so pleased to be welcoming back all of our students this September as well as welcoming all the new students to our Castle School family. We look forward to a successful and fun year of learning ahead.
As you will already no doubt know, students return tomorrow (Wednesday 6th September 2023)
You will no doubt have heard a lot about Reinforced Autoclave Aerated Concrete (RAAC) in the news recently. Just to reassure you, we have had a full survey carried out by government approved contractors and I am pleased to report that they found no RAAC present in our buildings.
Our new term dates are now on our website, which you can find by clicking https://www.thecastleschoolnewbury.org.uk/page/?title=Term+Dates&pid=24
Pick-up and Drop-off times
These will remain the same as last year. Pupils can go into the school at 8.50am and will leave at 3pm. If you are dropping off or picking up your child, please try and park away from the school site to help with safety and congestion. The site will be very busy at drop off and pick up times, and we need to all work together to ensure everyone is kept safe.
If you do have to, please make sure that you do not come onto the school site before 8.40am in the morning or before 2.50pm in the afternoon at the very earliest.
If you have any questions, now or in the coming weeks, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher, the team leader or a member of the senior leadership team and we will endeavour to help.
