Updated protocols 29.11.21

As you will know, the government issued further guidance this weekend about face coverings.

For schools, the advice is that all students in Year 7 and above should wear face coverings if possible. As such, the same as earlier on this year, we would ask that if your child is in year 7 or above that they wear a face covering in school if they are able to. We fully understand that this may not be possible for some students.

We would also ask that parents or carers wear a face covering if they have to enter the school buildings at all.

Just to be clear, face coverings will not need to be worn in classrooms or learning spaces. Additionally, they will not need to be worn outside.

I attach the updated protocols. These can also be found on the school website The Castle School - Castle School Parent/Pupil covid-19 protocols (thecastleschoolnewbury.org.uk)

The government will review this advice before Christmas.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Best wishes,
