In Colchester Class we have been learning about energy. On Thursday, we made wind turbines.

We were challenged to design and make a wind turbine to lift a cup off the floor.

A hairdryer blew wind onto the sails of our wind turbine. The sails spun to turn a pencil with string tied around it. The string was attached to the cup that lifted off the floor.

We really had to think about how to make it and we had to make lots of changes to our sails to make our wind turbines work.
