Update on protocols

Dear Parents and Carers,

Following a review of the school risk assessment, I am very pleased to announce that as of today we will be ending the use of zones within the school. The zones or bubbles have been in place for most of the past 2 years. However, it is now time to allow the school students and staff to move freely about our sites in order to help enhance the learning on offer and to help develop a cohesive school community once more.

The zones have been necessary and have, I believe, helped avoid more cases being spread during the past 2 years. However, looking at the reduction in infection rates and in line with the direction of travel in terms of living with Covid, I believe that this is the right time to remove them.

Of course, it is important to note that Covid is still with us and there is still a risk that we may have to close classes on occasions if safe staffing levels cannot be maintained. However, this would always be a last resort.

I would also ask that we all adhere to the self-isolation guidance, which still remains the same.

I attach the latest protocols.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Best wishes,
