Latest advice on Coronavirus

Following the latest government advice, it is important that if your child has a new persistent cough or a temperature above 37.8C, then they must be isolated and stay off school for 7 days.

Please do not send your child into school if they have any of these symptoms and contact us to report their absence.

Further information on this can be found on the Public Health England (click here for link) website and by going online to NHS 111 (Click here for link)

In the absence of any new advice regarding our medically vulnerable pupils and in the light of an increase in cases nationally, I will understand fully if you choose not to send your child into school.

At present we have not had any confirmed cases in school or linked to the school. However, as testing is now not going to be mandatory for those displaying mild symptoms of the virus, I will not be able to report accurately on whether we have any confirmed cases of either staff or pupils.

If we are notified of a confirmed case we will take advice from Public Health England and the local authority as to the next course of action.

At present we are remaining open and we will remain so unless it is no longer safe to do so (e.g. due to reduced staff numbers making it unsafe) or if we are directed to close by Public Health England or the government.

I shall, of course, keep you posted of any changes to advice or circumstances.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,
