Friends of Castle - Come and join!

Would you like to join a ‘new’ friendly committee to support the continuing success of our school charity?  Friends of Castle School

We are on the lookout for volunteers that we need to recruit to join our committee, Friends of Castle School. The school charity is vital as a means of gathering parents, students and staff together for social and fundraising events. The objectives of the school charity are to advance the education of pupils at the school by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school and to promote the social activities for pupils and their families.

We are looking for at least 4 committee members including some key roles such as chairperson and treasurer.

 

COMMITTEE MEMBERS – we need at least 4 people so please apply if you are interested.

A Committee Member is involved in decision making and discussing ideas for fund raising, advertising the ideas and events and volunteering to help at the events.  The time commitment is around 1- 2 hours per month. This may be a role you are happy to be involved in and is for people finding their feet in the Friends of Castle School.

Do you have the ability to work as a team member?

Do you have great ideas and have the passion to see those ideas become real?

We are looking for someone who will show commitment to the charity and help volunteer at school events such as the Summer Fete.

 

Chairperson

The Chairperson will need to be able to commit around 2 hours per month.

Are you organised and able to delegate?

Can you steer a group of people through a meeting and delegate actions?

Can you ensure that everyone’s views are respected and remain impartial?

We are looking for someone who will show commitment to the charity and act as the main contact point for the charity and make sure everyone feels welcome.

Treasurer

The Treasurer will need to be able to commit around 2 hours per month.

Are you good with numbers and able to keep income and expenditure accounts?

Can you use Excel Spreadsheets (not complicated ones!)?

Can you understand a bank statement?

Can you use a laptop (email, word, excel)?

Do you have the ability to work as a team member?  

We are looking for someone who will be able to understand the calculation of non-complicated numbers
