Wishing everyone a wonderful Summer

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we reach the end of the school year, I want to wish all our students, staff and parents a fantastic summer holiday. As usual, each class has produced a Class Newsletter with lots of lovely information on what they have been doing, as well as some pictures of learning. A personal message from me

As many of you know, this summer marks the end of my time as Headteacher of The Castle School. After 15 wonderful years here, I will be retiring at the end of August.

It has been the greatest privilege of my professional life to serve this community. The Castle School is a very special place, and that is entirely down to the people who make it what it is: our incredible students, our dedicated staff, our supportive parents and carers, and our committed governing board. Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and your belief in what our school stands for.

To our students: you have inspired me every single day. Your resilience, humour, kindness and determination are the heartbeat of this school. Watching you grow, learn and thrive has been an honour.

To our staff: you are extraordinary, like no other staff team that I have ever worked with. Your commitment to our children, your professionalism, and your compassion make The Castle School the exceptional place it is. I am deeply grateful for everything you do.

To our parents, carers and families: thank you for welcoming me into your lives, for working alongside us, and for championing your children with such pride and love. Your support has meant more than you know.

To our governors: thank you for your guidance, challenge and unwavering dedication to the school’s mission. Your stewardship has shaped our direction and strengthened our community.

I leave with immense pride in what we have achieved together, and complete confidence in the future of The Castle School. It has been a joy, and I will carry the memories of this community with me always.

Best wishes,

Jon
