This term, Durham class has been exploring all types of weather through hands-on and practical learning. Students created their own rain gauges to measure rainfall and investigated the different types of clothing needed for changing weather conditions.

Over the last few weeks, this learning has developed into an exciting video project focused on creating a weather report. Inspired by Newsround, the class planned and filmed a special weather broadcast set both in a Newsround-style studio and around the school site.

Students were able to choose how they wanted to take part, deciding whether to film on location outdoors or experiment with using the green screen to present their forecast. One student even brought in a fantastic weather video recorded at home.
