Life skills at The Hatchett

As part of Flint and Dunnottar’s Life Skills session we went to The Hatchett as students expressed their want to become more confident when out in public. It was an absolutely fabulous afternoon where students ordered and handled money with accuracy. Students worked out what they could buy with their money and worked out how much change they should get. They even spotted when they had been short-changed! It was brilliant to see them have self–led conversations and act appropriately in a public place showing their awareness of social rules. An amazing afternoon, where students blew us away with their confidence to ask for items as and when needed but also act maturely! Fantastic representation of Castle School!
