Donations, sponsorship and grants

The majority of our funding comes from government via the West Berkshire Local Authority; during the past few years this has increased and kept pace with the needs of the school and salary-inflation. However it is anticipated that, along with the rest of the public sector, this will be curtailed if not reduced from 2010 onwards. We therefore continue to seek financial help for those “extras” that our basic funding cannot cope with i.e. in the past 5 years we have used external funds to…..

Setup a new Hydrotherapy pool.....

None of this could have been achieved without the generosity of individuals, local business, parents and Friends.

How can I help??

  • Direct donation with gift aid
  • Sponsorship for an activity e.g. Reading half marathon
  • Place a bequest in your (or others) will
  • Raise funds using your employers “matched funding scheme” where every penny you raise is matched by the business (we get twice the amount!)

Where will the money go??

Not on anything that the education budget should pay for – that’s fact!

All donations will be kept separate from the main school budget and used under the direction of the governors for the benefit of the students themselves. These funds are audited annually and reported each term to the governors finance committee.
